Valley Sailing Association is a not-for-profit club, supported entirely by members' dues.

The club hosts many activities include a Spring Banquet, Open House, Sunday afternoon racing, Wednesday evening racing, Sailing Classes, Around the Islands Regatta, Muddy Rudder Regatta, Missouri Governor's Cup Regatta, Pumpkin Regatta, Breakfast on the River, Long Distance Race and Picnic, and the Annual Awards Banquet. In the middle of winter some of our members will gather for eagle watching party or for a private picnic. In addition to the planned activities, members are always welcome to sail their boat, to invite friends to the river and to camp overnight. Once you are a member it is your club to enjoy!

About half of our members enjoy racing. The best way to learn to race is to start out as a crew. There are always skippers looking for reliable crew. The willingness to show up regularly is more important than skill. The skill and knowledge come with experience which we are more than willing to help you acquire. Once you have achieved a comfort level aboard the boat and on the race course, you are ready to buy and race your own boat! We are always looking for new racers!

Other members prefer day sailing, cruising on the river and enjoying the beautiful scenery and wild life.

WE ALWAYS NEED CREW!

Come and join the fun at VSA!

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP    $75 annual dues - half price after September 1st!

You can join Valley as an associate member and enjoy all the pleasures of your own private "getaway".  Our sailing season normally extends from May 1st through November. As an associate you get all the rights and privileges of a full member except you don't have your own boat at the club and you don't have voting privileges.

Many of our associates become "Regulars" as crews for a racing skipper.  Associates also get the Valley newsletter "Marks of the Course" which is published quarterly (more or less).

FULL MEMBERSHIP   $350 annual dues - half price after September 1st!

Full members get all of the above, plus voting rights and can serve as officers of the club. Also they can keep their boat on a trailer at the club, the main criteria is that boats be "dry-sailed" (kept on trailers) and small enough and easy enough to be stored and moved around.
